LomoChrome Metropolis 200 ISO

There are countless reviews of Lomography’s Metropolis film. Before I had even shot some I knew that I wanted to shoot it at 400 ISO because that was how it looked best to me from other people’s experiments. The red and yellow seems more vibrant at 400 ISO.

While the lockdown for Covid-19 is in effect, we are allowed one form of exercise a day (in the UK), so we have been exploring some of the woodland areas near us. In a previous post I talked about how we discovered that we live right next to areas of woodland covered in Wild Garlic.

We don’t go out every day for a big walk, we are lucky to live in an apartment that was built on a lake and surrounded by some green space – we can take a stroll around the grounds in the week, it takes about 10 minutes to walk very slowly around it’s entirety.

For our long walk, one weekend we decided to check out a woodland area about 20 minutes walk from our apartment that we hadn’t been to before. We actually thought it was just going to be a park that we could walk through and then come out near the local supermarket but it turned out to be much larger and we were inside the woods for about 1hr.

I pretty much hate all the photos that I took this day. I don’t know if I was just having a really off day focusing and picking the right shot or if it is this film at 200 ISO that I dislike. One thing is for sure, I need to shoot it at 400 ISO next time I am in the woods. The shade was quite hard to compose in because I had to hold the camera very still, I dislike shooting slower than 1/60th and I like to have options between f2.8 and f8.
