I’ve never used slide film before but when Kodak released their brand new Ektachrome last year I had to get some! I waited until a sunny day – which took months (England).
Here are some of the results.

I couldn’t believe how fine the grain was when I first saw my results. I had seen lots of other people’s Ektachrome photos but it wasn’t until I saw my own that I realised how good the colours are on this film.

I have been trying to use my 200mm lens more this year. One thing is for sure, it is pretty good at spying.

This photo is more of a realisation that I need to use my 200mm lens in the garden more. The fact that Ektachrome is super fine grain is a big added bonus. I couldn’t even see those tiny flies when I was taking the photo!

Having never used slide film before I don’t really have much to compare to. I really like the results here and I will definitely use it again. The thing stopping me going out and buying more right now is the price. Like all slide film, it’s pretty expensive, and it is costly to have developed. So until I start doing this myself, I might just wait. I will, however, give the 120 version a try when Kodak releases it.
Great results, love the colours, that 200mm seems to be a good lens. Used to use slide film a lot up until the early 2000’s, nearly every photolab used to process it, but then it got difficult to find anyone to do it.

Yeah, I am going to use that lens for some more flower shots and see what else I can get from it. 🙂
